

This Project was targeted at people who were out of work, unemployed or under-employed with low skill levels. The project engaged and supported 35 people with low skill levels (below Level 2), offering a community based learning and support programme to improve employability skills and progression to further learning.
The project ran 5 workshop/training sessions for groups of at least 12 people which included Jobsearch, Customer Service Communication, Interview skills, Health and Safety Certificate (Level 2), Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and Basic First Aid Course.

Each learner received at least 3 hours of IAG support which included Job search, learning opportunities, career development and production of a comprehensive CV which enabled them to make informed choices about employment and learning opportunities.
As a result of attending this programme 3 learners have obtained employment and others are progressing onto further learning.
