The project developed and trained African migrants and refugees in Luton by running a service of training courses that build confidence and self-esteem. The course has helped people build-up basic employment and life skills with accreditation to assist them to access employment or further education.
In total, the course managed to capture 54 students on courses such as: Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Manual Handling, CV writing, computer skills, First Aid and job search skills on a one to one basis. The training and learning support activities have impacted the learners ability to access the job market through the provision of core employment skills needed by employers in all industries.
This project has given individuals an opportunity to improve themselves by meeting others like themselves at the training courses giving them self confidence to improve.
