Relate Bedfordshire and Luton
The NLDC grant provided capital funding to Relate to purchase laptop equipment. With this we were able to deliver our training using the laptops and powerpoint equipment provided by the NLDC capital to these groups:
- Relate staff
- General Public
- HMP Bedford Staff
- Luton Foster Carers
- Bedford Open Door
- Addaction
- Luton Drug Team
- Marsh Farm residents
The capital enabled the Relate Trainers to deliver the Relate materials in a professional manner and at venues which did not have any training equipment so we could be self-sufficient and take the learning into the community. The project impact was that we were able to deliver learning in some venues which did not have training equipment and so we were able to take our training into the communities where it was needed. Having our course materials on laptops and power-point makes it easier to see from the learners' perspective and makes it look more professional for Relate.
