An independent local charity and a member of the National Relate Federation, Relate are entirely devoted to building stronger relationships and are the largest relationship experts in the county.
Relate can help you, your partner and family with breakups, arguments, affairs, sexual problems, step-families, retirement, and implications of dealing with a new baby... anything that has an effect on your relationships.
Relate’s highly skilled workforce enables clients to feel better about their relationships which has an impact on their ability to work, to perform effectively at school, to maintain a stable home life and to get involved in their community.
In housing, health, employment and emotional wellbeing, people who use Relate services see positive outcomes – Relate makes a difference at the heart of our society and our local community in Bedfordshire and Luton.
Relate provides support to people through the following core services:
Counselling is offered at the centre in Bedford and in a variety of community and school settings across Bedfordshire and Luton.
A voluntary Board of Trustees governs Relate Bedfordshire and Luton and they appoint a Chief Executive Officer to manage the service. Currently there are 22 counsellors, 10 office staff, 3 trainers and 30 volunteers.
2011 will be Relate’s Diamond Celebration, marking 60 years of service to the people of Bedfordshire!
