Luton Adult Community Learning is part of Luton Borough Council and has been in existence for over 30 years, operating in locations all over the borough.
Approximately 5,000 learners per year are enrolled and a diverse range of courses and learning opportunities to individuals, groups, communities and businesses are offered.
The Business and Skills programme offers both accredited and non-accredited courses in computing, languages, teacher training, childcare, health and social care, facilities management, craft, GCSEs, NVQs and Apprenticeships. Whether you want improve your career prospects, find employment, gain promotion or generally up skill Luton Adult Community Learning have the right course for you.
Skills for Life Courses incorporating ESOL, Literacy, Numeracy and Family Learning are available throughout the Borough and are held either in the morning, afternoon or evening. Literacy and numeracy courses are free of charge to eligible learners and many Skills for Life courses lead to a nationally recognised qualification. Luton Adult Community Learning can arrange childcare for children under five on some of our courses. A small charge will be made for this service.
The Recreational and Community Learning courses offer learning ‘for the community, in the community’. These courses are run in over 50 locations throughout the borough of Luton. The Community Learning programme includes courses on Art, Crafts; Health, Beauty and Holistics; Information Technology and Languages.
