We also operate in the surrounding counties and beyond these locations in partnership with others where we can be assured that we can offer a great service to customers and stakeholders. bpha’s purpose is to create opportunities,  deliver value – build to last;  innovatively growing for a changing society.

bpha has a dedicated Community Development Team, which leads on, participates in and delivers projects designed to help residents and local communitieswithin Bedford Borough to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.  The projects offered by bpha are delivered in partnership with other specialist providers and organisations, communityorganisations and volunteers to improve opportunity, independence and quality of life. bpha’s Community Development team key objectives include working with our residents and the wider community to:

• support people into employment
• encourage lifelong learning
• Introduce technology to people of all ages and abilities
• offer volunteering opportunities
• offer positive activities and development opportunities to young people

Partnership working with local authorities& agencies, community organisations and volunteers is essential to the work of the Community Development team and the success of our projects. Our Learning Network offers a comprehensive range of learning, training and social inclusion activities in bpha owned and community venues where all participants are supported by dedicated staff. bpha’s Employment Support service provides specialist employment IAG and employability skills trainingin a relaxed and friendly environment from a converted bpha property in Bedford that offers a confidential meeting room, group training room and an IT suite.
