Bedford Foyer is a 34 bed supported accommodation unit for homeless young people aged between 16 and 25.
Support is provided on life skills - cookery, budgeting, personal hygiene and personal safety.
In 2010/11 Bedford Foyer worked with The Learning Partnership to design and deliver the Way 2 Work project, part of NLDC 2010/11.

Residents must sign up to some form of training, education or employment whilst they live at the Foyer. The Foyer works closely with agencies such as Connexions, Job Centre, SEETEC and others to ensure that young people have the best chance of improving their circumstances.
Some of the young people worked with have issues with drugs or alcohol and the Foyer ensures that these young people are referred to the appropriate agencies and continue to engage.
A Healthy Eating Club is run every Monday from 6pm, teaching young people about how to make healthy choices with food and then teaching them how to cook this and on a budget. Cookery Club is on Tuesdays from 6pm, allowing young people to cook the foods that they want.
Film Projects are every Wednesday and weekends (5pm Wednesday and then weekend sessions information can be given over the phone) which focuses on employability skills but using media. The Foyer are looking to make a film about young people’s experiences of homelessness and employment searching but with a humorous twist!
The Foyer also has a football team and our activities and events run throughout the year and are updated regularly.
