Train to Gain ESOL

As a result of recent data published, over 3800 migrant workers arrived from Poland into Bedfordshire and Luton and it is anticipated that these numbers will increase.  Feedback from providers is that employers need language skills training for their employers need language skills training for their employees as they recognise that migrant workers need to be able to communicate effectively.  The project will therefore offer embedded ESOL training under Train2Gain to ensure that migrant workers have the necessary language skills to work safely in their working enviornments.  The Learning Partnership will work with one of its established providers who specialise in this field - Transqual.  Three pilot courses will run across Bedfordshire and Luton working with employers within distribution prepared to support the pilot by giving staff time off to participate in the training.
