The Learning Partnership currently has in place a project to loan laptop computers for up to 3 months to small voluntary organisations working out in the community in Bedfordshire and Luton. The focus of lending the laptops is to take innovative learning initiatives into parts of the community that would otherwise be excluded.
The laptop computers come together with a mini printer. The make of the laptop computers are Toshiba and have RAM 256mb capacity.
Organisations will have to sign a service level agreement (SLA) accepting liability for damage, loss and safe use of the equipment. Staff will receive training in operating a wireless network if required. Guidance will also be given, if necessary, on how to prepare the facility and how it can be used for presentations, training, accessing e-learning (for example where learners enrol with learndirect) job search and for online assessment and testing for numeracy and literacy.
To have a loan of a laptop computer it will entail meeting the Learning Partnership’s criteria. So please complete your details on the attached form and return to the Learning Partnership by email or post.
