Strategy and Management
This policy is endorsed and supported at a senior level within the Learning Partnership:
- The Board discusses and formally endorses this policy and any revisions. The Board also discusses and endorses strategies for widening inclusion in learning through measures such as commissioning research and initiating projects to help extend the learning centre network and the learning offer, and by monitoring key performance data including demographic characteristics of local learners.
- The Executive Director takes personal responsibility for the production and monitoring of the policy.
- All staff are trained in equal opportunities issues and have specific responsibilities for implementing various aspects of the policy. These responsibilities include: securing an inclusive and non-discriminatory communications systems for the Learning Partnership, monitoring learners demographic data; including equal opportunities issues in the staff development programme, and developing new products in deprived communities and areas.
